Five Data Scientist you should know.
1) Dr. DJ
Patil
"DJ" Patil is the Chief Data
Scientist of the United States Office of Science
and Technology Policy.
He previously served as
the Vice President of Product at RelateIQ,
and as Head of Data Products and Chief Scientist of LinkedIn.
He also briefly worked at
the U.S. Department of
Defense employing social network analysis to help anticipate
emerging threats.
He holds a bachelor’s
degree in mathematics from the University of
California, San Diego, and a PhD in applied
mathematics from the University of
Maryland College Park.
2)Prabir sen
Singapore government recently hired Mr. Prabir Sen as
its first Chief Data Scientist. Mr.
Sen heads the IDA's newly formed Data Sciences Group, also enhance the
capabilities within the IDA as well as hire and train more professionals for
this new department. Mr. Sen was previously the Chief Management Scientist of
Accenture.
He has more than 16 years of experience in
data science with Accenture and
other companies such as NTT DoCoMo and Motorola, building up an expertise in
areas such as econometrics, mathematical statistics and machine learning.
His work experience includes projects such
as mobility services, product operation, service intelligence, high-frequency
trading and pricing models.
3) Shashi
godbole :
Mumbai-based data scientist, Shashi Godbole is a product of
IIT Bombay. The Do-it-yourself data wizard is a regular contestant on various competitions
on Kaggle.com, a US based crowdsourcing platform. He solved business challenges
in many areas, predicted the auction sale price for a bulldozer, developed an
algorithm that used patients records to prevent unnecessary hospitalization.
4) Vikas agarwal
Vikas did his post doctoral research fellowship from
California Institute of Technology. His works include defining Big Data
Analytics as a Service effort for Infosys’ Cloud & Big Data growth
initiative, cognitive computing based creation of intelligent virtual personal
assistants.
5) Ravi vijayraghavan
Dr. Ravi Vijayaraghavan is a Vice
President at Flipkart where he leads the Analytics organization. This team is
responsible for leveraging data, analytics and science to create true business
impact across the value chain of the business.Prior to joining Flipkart, Ravi
was the Chief Data Scientist and Global Head of the Analytics and Data Sciences
